Booking photos can feel overwhelming if you've never done it before. Questions like What do we wear? How long will it take? How do we choose our photos? are completely normal!

My goal is to make this process as simple and stress-free as possible, so here's exactly what you can expect from the moment you inquire until your finished artwork is hanging on your walls.

Step One: Let's Get You Booked

First things first—send me a message! We'll chat about what type of session you're looking for, choose a location, pick a date that works for everyone, and answer any questions you may have. Once we've settled on the details, your session fee is due to officially reserve your date on my calendar.

Need help deciding what everyone should wear? Don't worry—I absolutely love helping with that! Whether you're choosing colors, coordinating outfits for the whole family, or deciding between two dresses, I'm happy to help. I also love recommending locations and making sure your session is scheduled at the best time for beautiful light.

I want you to feel completely prepared before your session ever begins.

Step Two: Session Day

Now for the fun part!

Most sessions last around 45 minutes, and I promise they are much more relaxed than most people expect.

We'll laugh, play, snuggle, explore, and let your family simply enjoy being together. Of course we'll grab those smiling-at-the-camera portraits too, but my favorite images are usually the little in-between moments that happen naturally. You don't have to worry about knowing how to pose—that's my job. I'll gently guide you the entire time so everything feels easy and natural.

Step Three: Your Gallery Arrives

Within three weeks, you'll receive a link to your online gallery.

Your gallery will be filled with so many beautiful images from our session. I never want you choosing between just a handful of proofs—I want you to see the full story we captured together.

Take your time looking through everything.

Step Four: Choose Your Favorites

As you browse your gallery, simply click the ♡ heart icon on every image you love.

Your session includes 10 professionally edited digital images, so you'll choose your favorite ten.

If you happen to fall in love with more than that (which happens often!), just keep adding them to your favorites. There is absolutely no pressure to purchase additional images, but if you'd like to, you'll already have them selected. Once you've made your final choices, I'll send an invoice if you've selected any images beyond those included in your session.

Step Five: The Final Edit

This is where the magic really happens.

Once your selections are finalized (and any additional image invoice has been paid), I go back through each of your chosen images one by one and give them my full attention.

That includes things like:

Removing distracting people or objects from the background
Cleaning up flyaway hairs
Softening minor skin blemishes
Whitening teeth when needed
Fixing small wardrobe distractions
Any other little details that help your images look their absolute best

Every final image is carefully polished by hand before it's delivered.

Step Six: Designing Your Heirlooms

One of my favorite parts of this entire experience is helping families turn their photographs into something they can enjoy every day. Your memories deserve so much more than sitting in a folder on your phone. Whether you're dreaming of a beautiful framed gallery wall, a handcrafted heirloom album, timeless canvas prints, or a keepsake print box, I'll help you every step of the way.

We'll work together to:

Choose the perfect images
Design gallery walls that fit your home
Customize albums to tell your family's story
Select products that complement your style and space

Step Seven: Delivery Day

Within about one week after you've made your final selections (and any additional image payment has been completed), your finished gallery will be delivered.

From there, you can download your high-resolution images and start enjoying the memories we've created together. Any prints and products you ordered will be mailed to you.
